Like most of you, we love to shop when we go on vacation, and any of these shops can help you find the perfect addition to your wardrobe, forgotten necessity or souvenir.

Their hats are famous worldwide, and have even gone to the top of Everest, but they offer much more. You’ll find a great selection of winter clothing and gear, plus locally made huckleberry items, kids’ items and local art. They even have a wonderful espresso bar so you can sip while you shop! www.wapitiwoolies.com/
Alta Crystal Resort Grocery & Gift Shop
Alta Crystal’s grocery may be small, but it carries a little bit of lots of things, including microbrews and Washington wines. Their gift shop carries t-shirts, sweatshirts, and fleece for adults and kids, and the best selection of Mt. Rainier books in the valley. www.altacrystalresort.com
Greenwater Outfitters (in downtown Greenwater, of course!) is known for their sense of humor, which is apparent by their huge selection of Sasquatch merchandise. They also carry all sorts of snowboard gear. Their store is next to the Greenwater Deli (which offers really good sandwiches & salads). www.greenwateroutfitters.net/
Greenwater General Store
Essential since it has the valley’s only gas station! Plus it carries a good selection of groceries, health items, sundries, wine and beer.
Louie Gebenini is a world class ski tuner, and racers from around the Pacific Northwest come to him so he can give them that competitive edge. He also sells skis (and rents demos too) so you can buy the perfect pair. www.greenwaterskis.com
